What happened
Nothing's Ear 3A earbuds are on sale for $79 ($20 off) at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy, matching their lowest price ever. All four color options are included in the promotion. The earbuds feature active noise cancellation, extensive EQ controls, ChatGPT voice access, 32MB of built-in storage for call recording, and come with extra-small ear tips.
Context
The Ear 3A target budget-conscious consumers seeking noise-canceling earbuds without premium pricing. At this price point, the breadth of customization options and feature set—including ANC, extensive EQ controls, and call recording capability—represent notable value, as such customization is described as unusual at this price tier. The promotion makes the earbuds more accessible during a period when premium earbuds remain significantly more expensive.
What's disputed
The earbuds exhibited bugs during testing, including abrupt noise cancellation level changes with adaptive ANC enabled and occasional voice call issues in noisy environments. Reviewers found the default sound profile bass-heavy, though readily adjustable.
